1 World Army: Germany

The concept of a “One World Army” refers to the idea of a single global military force that serves a united world government or entity. This idea often appears in science fiction and dystopian stories, where Earth is governed as a singular global state or federation. In some narratives, a One World Army is seen as a force for peace, meant to defend the planet against external threats, such as aliens or natural disasters. In other cases, it is portrayed negatively, as a tool of oppression for an authoritarian global regime.

In reality, there is no such thing as a One World Army, though there are multinational military alliances, such as NATO, where countries collaborate on defense and security efforts. The United Nations also has peacekeeping forces made up of troops from multiple countries, but these are limited in scope and primarily serve to maintain peace in conflict zones rather than function as a global military.

Metal Gear Solid: Soldiers Without Borders (Fiction)

In the Metal Gear Solid video game series, the phrase “Soldiers Without Borders” refers to a private army created by the character Big Boss. This army operates with no ties to any government or national interest, driven by the idea of a military force that transcends borders and serves no particular state. The organization fights for their ideals and survival, embodying the theme of freedom from the traditional constraints of nationality.
